Professional experienced teachers
present Mrs Penn’s School Readiness programs. These weekly
sessions are aimed for families of students 3–6 years.
The aim of these activities is to engage and enrapture students
through age-appropriate literature.
Bright Start Story Time™ encourages love, fun and joy
of learning through innovative literary activities. It includes
craft, movement, role-play, song, listening activities and lots
more.
Reading beomes a source of pleasure not a task! Students develop
a love for books as a source of fun and self-discovery. Literacy
is fostered through the acquisition of reading words and pictures,
talking and listening, and helping the mind to understand and
respond. Parents are also welcome to participate and enjoy story
time.
Young Preschoolers begin to view literature as creation and
expansion of ideas, vocabulary, concepts, the written word,
knowledge and inference. Through literature, the child builds
an understanding of the self, the world and his/her place in
it.
