A learning disability results
from a difference in the way a person's brain is "wired."
Children with learning disabilities may be as smart or smarter
than their peers. But they may have difficulty reading, writing,
spelling, reasoning, recalling and/or organizing information.
With the right support and intervention, children with learning
disabilities can succeed in school and later in careers.

ADHD
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a condition
that becomes apparent in some children in preschool and the
early school years. The core signs of ADHD are inappropriate
levels of inattention, hyperactivity and impulsivity. These
problems are persistent and cause problems in one or more
life areas.
Children often have different types of ADHD. Some may be hyperactive,
others may be under-active. Some may have great problems with
attention. Others may be mildly inattentive but overly impulsive.
Still others may have significant problems in all three areas.
